Guidelines for August 27th volleyball game @Wymore 6:00 pm Falls city vs Johnson-Brock 7:00 pm Southern vs Johnson-Brock Each school will need to submit a fan list of 115 individuals who will be attending the game. This will be the only fans that will be allowed to attend the games. All fans in attendance must be wearing masks. The only exception will be individuals under the age of 5. Family members must sit together(Social distancing of 6 feet between family groups must be maintained.) Bleachers will be blocked off every other row. We will have an area around the benches that will be clear for the teams. Limited concessions will be available during the game and we do ask that those in line also maintain social distancing.

School Starts Tuesday, August 18th! Looking forward to seeing all the students back in class!

July keeps moving right along and before long it will be August and time to get students back into the groove of school. Johnson-Brock is still on schedule for an August 18th start date. At the July 13th Board of Education meeting a resolution was passed to support student learning while taking reasonable precautions to keep students, staff and the public safe.. This resolution addresses a couple issues to assist administration in preparing plans when school resumes. Contingencies for changes in circumstance could alter plans, however the Board of Education believes all students will be required to have instruction in person, in the classroom, unless otherwise required by law. Second, the Board of Education made the decision to not require face coverings at all times, but it is strongly encouraged. Administrators hope to see students wear masks when coming or leaving school, on the school bus, moving between classes or when using the bathroom. There will be 5 pairs of masks given to every student and staff member. Masks are cloth, can be washed and reused. Students will not have to purchase masks. Third, the Board of Education has an opt-in form for parents who wish to have their child wear a mask all the time. This form along with the resolution will be sent home to all families with the back to school letter. Forms will need to be returned by August 20th. The Building Leadership team along with the three parents and a Board member on our committee will be meeting again on July 21st to revise the return to school plan that was started June 30th. We know that this pandemic will alter plans that occur in our community, region and nation. We also know it is impossible to have every scenario in the plan, but we believe we have addressed the concerns and questions families will have as we get closer to our starting date. We will continue to work with local health officials and their recommendations. We hope to have this plan available August 3rd.

Important Information from the Johnson-Brock Backpack Program: Food backpacks will still be available throughout the school closure. As of now, school will be back in session before the next distribution. If school remains closed, food backpacks and vouchers will continue to be available at Johnson Grocery. If school closes for more than two weeks, Johnson-Brock Public School will deliver your food backpack to your home. Delivery dates will be April 3, April 17, May 1 and May 15. When school reopens, your child will get his/her food backpack from school or your normal pick up location. If you have any questions, please call Johnson Grocery at 868-3145.

Due to extenuating circumstance the NHD & Speech Night set for Thursday March 5th has been postponed. It is tentatively rescheduled for Sunday March 22nd. NHD at 6:00 pm and Speech at 7:00 pm. Keep watch for any updates, here and on the weekly schedule.
